• Shooting investigation underway in Springfield (wjhg.com) — Springfield police are investigating a Thursday shooting on the 2900 block of Avon Road that left a man injured in what officers believe was a domestic dispute. Authorities say the scene is secure and there is no ongoing threat to the public, while the victim remains in surgery and officers continue searching for the suspect.
