• Canton police renew search for woman missing since July (wsbtv.com) — Canton police are renewing their search for Dina Michelle Spencer, last seen walking on Mountain Laurel Drive on July 15, and they're asking Canton residents to report any possible sightings or memories from that day. Officers stress that even small details could help, and urge anyone with information to call 911 or contact the department directly by phone or email.
   

• Off-duty APD detective arrested for shoplifting beer, deputies say (fox5atlanta.com) — An off-duty Atlanta police detective was arrested after deputies say he shoplifted a 12-pack of beer from the Publix on Hickory Flat Highway in Canton while driving an undercover APD truck. Cherokee County deputies booked him into the county detention center, and Atlanta Police have relieved him of duty and opened an internal investigation into the incident.
