Here are the top three stories today in Cartersville:

  1. A 43-year-old Rome man has been arrested for a 2008 murder in Bartow County. Lance Jay Banister was killed at Pine Log Methodist Church in March 2008. Banister's body was found close to the Talking Rock Bridge near State Route 136 in Carters Lake in Murray County near the Gordon County line. How the accused was identified as a suspect is not known.   2. The planned closure of the Cassville White Road bridge over I-75 has been postponed. The forecasted weather for this weekend has delayed the construction closure. There has not been a new closure date announced. (WBHF via Facebook)
