• Cartersville man killed in Cobb wreck (daily-tribune.com) — A 26-year-old Cartersville man died early Aug. 22 after his Mazda struck a parked tractor-trailer in the gore between I-75 North and I-575 North in Cobb County. Police say he left his lane for unknown reasons and was pronounced dead at the scene, while the truck driver was uninjured. Investigators are asking anyone with information to contact Cobb County's traffic enforcement unit.
