No Kings: Vote Early — October 17
Connecting in Conyers, known locally as The Center Street Irregulars, will participate in the October 17 No Kings: Vote Early national day of action in Conyers, Georgia.
This event will focus on voter participation and civic engagement.
Our goal is to encourage eligible voters who did not participate in the 2024 election, as well as those who did vote, to participate in the upcoming election and make their voices heard.
According to 2024 election data, approximately 244.7 million Americans were eligible to vote, while roughly 89 million eligible voters did not cast a ballot. Turnout was approximately 64% of the voting-eligible population.
Connecting in Conyers wants to help increase participation by encouraging people to learn about their voting options, make a voting plan, and participate — regardless of political party or candidate preference.
This is a nonpartisan voter-participation effort.
Our October 17 participation will focus on encouraging people to exercise their right to vote rather than advocating for a particular candidate or political party.
Connecting in Conyers has participated in previous No Kings demonstrations, and this event provides an opportunity to continue that community involvement while placing a strong emphasis on voter participation.
Members of the group will be available to speak with members of the community and local media about the event and our organization’s history and purpose.
