Man Charged With Murder In Wife's Death In Forsyth Co.

When they arrived, authorities said they found a Forsyth County woman suffering from multiple injuries. She died at the scene.

FORSYTH COUNTY, GA — A man is facing murder charges in connection with the death of his wife Sunday evening in Forsyth County, authorities said Monday.

Deputies were called to a domestic violence incident at a Collins Point Road home around 7:30 p.m., according to the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office.

When they arrived, authorities said they found a woman suffering from multiple injuries. They then began providing emergency medical care, but authorities said the woman died at the scene.

Authorities identified the woman as Deborah Field, 81. An official cause and manner of death were not released.

Her husband, Thomas Elliott Field, 85, was initially detained at the scene before ultimately being charged with murder and aggravated assault, authorities said. He is being held at the Forsyth County Jail, authorities said.
