• Connie Hardy (polktoday.com) — A Dearing family is mourning the loss of 78-year-old Thomson resident Connie Hughes Hardy, whose daughter Heather Jackson lives in Dearing. Connie, a former cosmetologist and daycare worker, was active at Thomson First Baptist Church. A private memorial service will be held on the family farm on Friday, June 12, 2026.
