• Fun Spot America in Fayetteville shutting down after 36 years (ajc.com) — Fun Spot America Atlanta, the longtime amusement park in Fayetteville featuring the ArieForce One coaster, will permanently close on Aug. 2. The company hasn’t given a reason, but is urging fans to visit soon for one last ride before operations end while its Florida parks remain open. 
• U.S. Under-19 and U.S. U-18 Women's National Teams to Hold Concurrent Training Camps at the Arthur M. Blank U.S. Soccer National Training Center in Fayetteville, Ga (ussoccer.com) — Fayetteville will host concurrent U.S. Under-19 and Under-18 Women’s National Team training camps at the Arthur M. Blank U.S. Soccer National Training Center from June 25 to July 3. Forty-eight top college and youth players, many with World Cup experience, will be in town preparing for future international competition, bringing national-level soccer activity and attention to the community.
