• Valdosta North Rotary hears update from County Commissioner Michael Smith (valdostadailytimes.com) — Lake Park residents could see a new fire station move forward in 2027 on the former Rascal's restaurant site, as part of Lowndes County's public safety upgrades. Commissioner Michael Smith also outlined road resurfacing, bridge projects, and efforts to hold the tax millage rate steady while representing the Lake Park area on the county commission.
