Shootout at Forest Hill apartments stemmed from dispute day before, report says (13wmaz.com) — Macon residents are learning more about a Sept. 13 shootout at the Preserve at Forest Hill apartments that injured three people, after a newly released Bibb County Sheriff's Office report. Investigators say the gunfire erupted when a man confronted someone his sister accused of assaulting her the night before, leading to an exchange of shots involving multiple family members and vehicles.
   

2. 'I'll be losing money': Macon rideshare driver weighs rising fuel costs (41nbc.com) — Macon drivers are feeling a sharp squeeze as local gas prices climb to among the highest in Georgia, cutting deeply into rideshare earnings and everyday budgets. A retired Uber and Lyft driver says rising fuel and vehicle costs may soon make his side job unsustainable, while other Macon motorists report scaling back trips and hunting for cheaper fill-ups.
   

3. Macon man accused of firing through glass door toward deputy, 2 others (41nbc.com) — A Macon man was arrested after a Bibb County deputy says he fired multiple shots through a glass door toward the deputy and two others at a home on Napier Avenue. No injuries were reported, but the suspect now faces three aggravated assault charges and a property damage charge after witnesses described a dispute that escalated into gunfire.
   

4. On the diamond, FPD and Central softball are leading the way locally, while other Macon programs fight through tough schedules to stay in postseason contention.
