Roadside dispute with hitchhiker ends in injuries, deputy crash (fox5atlanta.com) — A Coweta County driver heading from Union City toward Newnan with a hitchhiker ended up in a violent parking-lot struggle that left both men injured and hospitalized. A responding sheriff's deputy also crashed en route and was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital in stable condition, while investigators continue gathering evidence and have not yet filed charges.
