• TCCHS Junior Hannah Bilello named 2026 Borlaug Scholar (timesenterprise.com) — A Thomas County Central High School junior from Thomasville has been named a 2026 Borlaug Scholar for her research on global food security. Hannah Bilello earned the honor after presenting policy recommendations on water and sanitation challenges in the Solomon Islands at the Georgia Youth Institute, gaining recognition from the World Food Prize Foundation and the University of Georgia. 
• Central duo recognized on All-State Baseball Team (timesenterprise.com) — Two Thomas County Central pitchers from the Thomasville area have earned first-team spots on the GHSA and Georgia Dugout Club Class 5A All-State baseball team after leading the Yellow Jackets to a 28-7 season. Junior standout Reid Gainous and lefty Dallas Pitts posted dominant stats on the mound, with Gainous also delivering power at the plate and both already committed to play college baseball.
