His new statewide leadership role, paired with his ongoing service in the Canton Lions Club and Cherokee County Board of Ethics, strengthens Woodstock's influence in expanding access to eye exams, glasses, and surgeries across Georgia.
   

• Chicken Salad Chick Planning Fall Opening In Canton (whatnow.com) — A new Chicken Salad Chick is slated to open this fall at Hickory Flat Marketplace in Canton, a short drive from Woodstock. The 100,000-square-foot center will also feature Woodstock-based Little Rosa's Pizza plus other national brands, expanding nearby dining and fitness options for residents who frequent the Hickory Flat corridor.
   

• Cobb International Film Festival Celebrates Indie Filmmakers (georgiaentertainment.com) — A Woodstock stunt performer, Joshua Romeo, just earned Best Stunt Performance at the Cobb International Film Festival for his short film "Korak," shot largely with local Atlanta stunt talent. The growing Marietta Square festival highlighted independent filmmakers from Georgia and abroad, underscoring metro Atlanta's expanding role in the film industry and offering new visibility for creatives from communities like Woodstock.
