• Med Center Health first in south-central Kentucky to offer new stroke prevention procedure (wbko.com) — Residents in Bowling Green can now access a cutting-edge, minimally invasive procedure at Med Center Health that helps prevent strokes using the FDA-approved Neuroguard IEP System. Local vascular surgeons say it clears carotid artery plaque without surgical incisions or general anesthesia, often sending patients home the same day. The new option keeps advanced vascular care close to home in south-central Kentucky.
   

• SKYCTC launches Fast Path program this fall (wbko.com) — Southcentral Kentucky Community and Technical College in Bowling Green is rolling out a new 12-week Fast Path program this fall, letting students earn full-credit courses on a shorter schedule. It's aimed at busy adults, dual-credit high schoolers, and anyone wanting to catch up or get ahead on general education classes.
   

• Changes to come to Department of Veteran Affairs record system in Kentucky (wnky.com) — From a Bowling Green dateline, federal VA leaders say Kentucky's veterans will eventually see their medical records move into a modern Electronic Health Records system that works across VA and related federal facilities. The change, projected by 2031 but possibly sooner, aims to make it easier for veterans to get coordinated care anywhere in the network. Officials are urging all veterans, especially post‑9/11, to connect with the VA now.
