Program helping Louisville seniors sharpen cognitive skills faces funding challenges (wlky.com) — A unique Kumon Learning Therapy pilot at Riverport Landing is helping Louisville seniors sharpen memory, practice reading and math, and stay socially connected, but its funding runs out at the end of September. Louisville is the only U.S. city offering this long-running Japanese program, and participants hope new donors, including local supporters through the Louisville Urban League, will step in to keep their hard-won community and cognitive gains alive.

Copper wire theft leaves Louisville interstate stretches dark, prompts solar light pilot (wave3.com) — Long stretches of Louisville interstates, especially in west Louisville, remain dark after years of copper wire theft, raising serious safety concerns for local drivers.
