128 Counts Of Child Porn Possession Filed Against U.S. Air Force Major
A 34-year-old U.S. Air Force major from Fort Washington faces 128 counts of possession of child pornography, prosecutors said.
PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD โ A U.S. Air Force major faces 128 counts of possession of child pornography after police found more than 120 videos and images on his devices.
The Prince George's County State's Attorney's Office said that Richard F. Gayson, 34, was indicted Wednesday after police found the content on his electronic devices earlier this year. He was arrested May 6 and held without bond initially, but a judge released him on private home detention at his July 10 bond review hearing, prosecutors said.
Court documents said police were notified late last year by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children of 21 videos of suspected child pornography uploaded to a cloud service on Dec. 12, 2025.

Authorities traced the videos to Gayson, who was interviewed in early 2026 before officers seized several devices, including laptops, phones and external storage drives, in a search warrant, the Prince George's County State's Attorney's Office said.
Many of the suspected videos and images were found on a 64GB thumb drive and two phones, according to the Prince George's County State's Attorney's Office.
