Laurel Man Killed In Head-On Crash

A 25-year-old Laurel man was killed in a head-on collision that happened early Tuesday morning, according to police.

LAUREL, MD — A 25-year-old Laurel man has died in a head-on collision that happened early Tuesday morning.

Prince George's County police officers were called to Laurel Bowie Road at Old Laurel Bowie Road Tuesday around 6:45 a.m. for a report of a two-vehicle collision.

One of the drivers, Mohammed Al Yasiri, was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. The second driver involved in the crash remains in critical condition, the police department reported Wednesday.

The preliminary investigation indicates that Al Yasiri was heading southbound on Laurel Bowie Road. For reasons now being investigated, his car crossed into the northbound lanes where it collided with the second vehicle.
