• Summer Skate Returns With Weekly Themes Through August (southernmarylandchronicle.com) — Families in Leonardtown can look forward to Friday Summer Skate at Leonard Hall Recreation Center from June 26 through August 14, with weekly themes like Flashback Friday, Superhero Skate, and Team Spirit Day. Admission is $5 plus optional skate rental, and Sunday Family Skate continues weekly as well, giving residents affordable, air-conditioned fun all summer with easy online registration or pay-at-the-door options.
   

• Leonardtown Approves Verizon Cell Tower and Budget Amendments (southernmarylandchronicle.com) — Leonardtown’s Town Council has approved a new Verizon cell tower on Route 5, budget amendments for solar and wastewater projects, and higher development impact fees to support local schools starting July 1. Councilmembers also advanced major housing projects, discussed adding Leonardtown to a regional planning organization, and set their next meeting for July 13, with a post-meeting “Meet the Mayor” session for residents.
