• Man Killed, Woman Hospitalized After Pikesville Shooting: Police (patch.com) — Residents in Pikesville are being urged to share any information after a late-night shooting on Iron Horse Lane left a 41-year-old man dead and a 32-year-old woman hospitalized. Baltimore County Police responded just after 11:30 p.m. Tuesday and are asking anyone with tips to call detectives or use the iWATCH system.
   

• OU splits top leadership role, naming Rabbi Shmuel Silber EVP and Rabbi Josh Joseph CEO (ejewishphilanthropy.com) — A longtime Pikesville rabbi, Shmuel Silber of Suburban Orthodox Congregation Toras Chaim, has been tapped as the Orthodox Union's next executive vice president, elevating a local synagogue leader to a major international role. Silber will focus on rabbinic and public advocacy while continuing to draw on his deep ties to the Pikesville community and growing Anglo Jewish communities in Israel.
