His injuries are not considered life-threatening, but detectives are still seeking suspects and asking anyone with information to call the sheriff’s office or Crime Solvers.

Wicomico sod farm vandalized a second time in less than a year (wboc.com) — A Salisbury-area sod field at Quantico Creek Farms has been vandalized again, just months after a previous incident caused around $100,000 in damage. Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office is investigating, a suspect and vehicle have been developed, and the farm is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to those responsible.

Salisbury Chamber of Commerce hosts 2026 post legislative forum (wmdt.com) — Local lawmakers just outlined millions in new state funding for Salisbury and the Lower Shore at the Salisbury Area Chamber of Commerce’s post-legislative luncheon. Highlights include money for Salisbury University renovations, TidalHealth upgrades, a new fire training building, and regional projects in Wicomico, Worcester, and Somerset counties that could shape services and infrastructure for years.

4. 'American Idol' star Jay Copeland to join gospel show in Salisbury (delmarvanow.com) — Gospel fans in Salisbury can look forward to “History & Hymns: An Evening of Gospel on the Shore” at Asbury United Methodist Church on May 16, featuring Salisbury native and American Idol finalist Jay Copeland. The Beach to Bay Heritage Area will also present Heritage Awards and serve food and refreshments with the $25 ticket.

Most Blessed Sacrament School's Seidon Shaffer recognized by Junior Achievement (thedialog.org) — A local student leader will be honored at the Junior Achievement Center in Salisbury on May 18, and the ceremony is open to anyone who wants to attend. The ‘18 Under 18’ program spotlights young innovators and volunteers from across the Eastern Shore, and tickets and sponsorships are available online for those wishing to support the honorees.
