Andover Sets Downtown Trick-or-Treat, Townwide Halloween Hours (patch.com) — Families in Andover can mark their calendars for the downtown Trick-or-Treat on Oct. 28, offering kids an early, business-supported celebration in the town center. The town has also set official Halloween trick-or-treating hours for Saturday, Oct. 31, from 5 to 7 p.m., giving residents clear guidance for neighborhood festivities.
   

2. Andover Fire Rescue Sets Open House At Public Safety Center (patch.com) — Andover residents are invited to a free Fire Rescue open house at the Public Safety Center on Oct. 17, featuring safety demonstrations, hands-on activities, and health screenings. You can tour equipment, learn about fire prevention, meet police and public health staff, and even grab some pizza while checking your blood pressure and glucose levels.
   

3. Public Safety Notebook, Sept. 5: OUI Arrest, Man In Towel Near Tracks (andovermanews.com) — Andover police and firefighters handled a busy Monday that included an OUI arrest on Osgood Street, a search for a man in just a towel near railroad tracks, and a minor crash at Greenwood Road and Tiffany Lane. Crews also checked an electrical odor on George Street, helped locate students near River Road, and cleared a fallen tree on Rutgers Road.
   

4. Coffey, Townson Seeking Second Terms On Select Board (andovermanews.com) — Andover's 2027 Select Board race is already taking shape, with incumbents Kevin Coffey and Ellen Townson and challenger Richard Rainville pulling nomination papers well ahead of the February filing deadline. Coffey is currently the only candidate certified for the ballot, setting up a likely three-way contest for two seats that could shape town policy for years.
