• 'Foot Soldiers Of Democracy': Belmont's State Senate Recount Reaffirms Brownsberger's Victory (belmontonian.com) — Belmont residents just saw their Sept. 1 state senate primary recount at Town Hall confirm hometown Senator Will Brownsberger's narrow district-wide win over challenger Daniel Lander. Volunteers and officials methodically retallied nearly 6,000 local ballots, slightly adjusting totals but leaving Brownsberger ahead by 35 votes and headed back to Beacon Hill to represent Belmont and neighboring communities.

Neighbors on Frederick, Jackson, and Chandler streets have special permit requests coming up, while the Planning Board will also review townwide zoning bylaw amendments in early October, with full details and documents available through Town Hall and the town website.
