• Town Reaches 'Milestone' in Move to State Insurance (belmontvoice.org) — Belmont is moving its employees and retirees into the state's Group Insurance Commission, a shift officials say could save the town about 5% in health care costs while expanding plan options. Staff are now holding education sessions, planning a benefits fair, and preparing for GIC open enrollment so workers can choose new coverage through the online portal.
   

• HS roundup/scores: Canton's Shannon Lane records 200th career point in win (bostonherald.com) — Belmont boys soccer edged Lexington 1–0 in Middlesex League play, with Itai Golani scoring directly from a corner kick and Will Hugg securing the shutout in net. The broader roundup also lists standout performances and scores from field hockey, volleyball, golf, cross-country, and other high school contests across eastern Massachusetts.
   

• Parents Press for Action on Racism, Antisemitism (belmontvoice.org) — Belmont parents and school leaders recently met after racist and antisemitic graffiti at Belmont High School to discuss how to better confront hate in the district. Administrators described new reporting tools, student-led efforts, and hiring initiatives, while parents and advocates pressed for stronger accountability, more diverse staff, and clearer action so all students feel safe and included.
