Their shout-outs to Belmont athletics, BHS art shows, and favorite teachers offer a feel-good snapshot of student life and values that many local families will recognize and appreciate.
   

• Jake's Recovery from Fracture and Return to Soccer (massgeneralbrigham.org) — A Belmont High School soccer player's journey from being cut as a sophomore to making varsity took an unexpected turn when he fractured his collarbone while playing club soccer. Thanks to quick care from pediatric orthopedic specialists, he had surgery the next day and began a structured recovery, determined to return to the sport he loves and continue his playing career at college.
   

• HS roundup/scores: Coleman Keuchkarian-McKeen, Watertown stay unbeaten (bostonherald.com) — Belmont High teams had a strong showing, with boys soccer improving to 5-0-2 after a 3-0 win over Weston and field hockey battling Walpole to a 0-0 draw. The roundup also tracks key football, soccer, volleyball, golf, and swimming results from across Massachusetts, giving Belmont fans context on how their teams stack up statewide.
