• Massachusetts man held without bail after fatal assault of 33-year-old woman; victim and suspect identified (fallriverreporter.com) — Framingham police and the Middlesex District Attorney are investigating a woman's death after officers found 33-year-old Brianna Connolly unresponsive in a Waverly Street residence Thursday afternoon. A 43-year-old man was arrested, pleaded not guilty in Framingham District Court, and is being held without bail pending a dangerousness hearing as the homicide probe continues. 
• Boston Dance Theater Continues PLANTS PROJECT With September Programming (broadwayworld.com) — A site-specific dance performance is coming to Garden in the Woods in Framingham on Saturday, September 26, where Boston Dance Theater will present looping solo pieces inspired by native plants during regular garden hours. Visitors can wander the grounds, encounter dancers in different locations, and experience the local landscape through movement and ecology-focused art, all included with regular admission.
