• Watertown Hires New Veterans' Services Officer (watertownmanews.com) — Watertown has hired John Day as its new Veterans' Services Officer, bringing Marine Corps experience and recent work in Cambridge's veterans department to support local veterans and families. He'll work within the city's Human Services Department to help residents navigate VA claims, Massachusetts Chapter 115 benefits, and other support programs tailored to Watertown's veteran community.
• A Special Small Saves Cartoon, Reminiscing About Watertown (watertownmanews.com) — A longtime hockey cartoonist is looking back on his childhood in Watertown, recalling the Maplewood Street wall where he first dreamed of being a goalie. His memories of neighborhood street hockey and that now-worn concrete spot shaped both his goaltending passion and his Small Saves comic strip, which he still draws today.
