1. Mosesian Arts' Members Find Inspiration in the Natural World in Many Ways (watertownmanews.com) — Watertown art lovers can visit the Mosesian Center for the Arts' annual Members Exhibition, running Sept. 11–Nov. 6 at 321 Arsenal St., with a public reception on Sept. 17. The show features paintings, fiber art, sculpture, photography, and more, many inspired by nature and ecological themes, and is open Tuesday through Friday afternoons or by appointment.
   

2. Finding our way home: Armenian Genealogy Conference returns to Watertown for 10th anniversary (armenianweekly.com) — Watertown will again host the Armenian Genealogy Conference on Nov. 21 at the Armenian Cultural and Educational Center on Nichols Avenue, marking the event's 10th anniversary where it first began. Residents can spend a full day learning how to trace Armenian roots using DNA, immigration records, photographs, and international archives, then stay for an evening dinner with music and community connections.
   

3. Watertown, MA Planning Board — September 9, 2026 (meetingwatch.org) — Watertown residents can see that the Planning Board conditionally approved a site plan at its Sept. 9 meeting, requiring a revised landscaping plan among other conditions. The MeetingWatch tool promises linked reports, minutes, and video timestamps, though its interactive AI feature is currently paused while the written meeting report remains available.
   

4. Massachusetts memorial honors firefighters lost on 9/11 and in the line of duty (wcvb.com) — Massachusetts firefighters, including one from Watertown, are being added to the Fallen Firefighters Memorial's Ring of Honor during a ceremony marking 25 years since 9/11. State and local leaders joined families on Boston Common to honor those lost in the attacks and in the line of duty, with a solemn procession and tributes at the memorial site.
   

5. Massachusetts reports seventh human West Nile virus case (wcvb.com) — West Nile virus risk remains high in Watertown, with state health officials urging you to keep using insect repellent, wear long sleeves and pants outdoors, and dump standing water around your home. Massachusetts has confirmed seven human cases so far, and officials say the threat will continue until the first hard frost.
