• Fire At Wayland High School Sends Student To Hospital (patch.com) — Wayland families are learning more about a fire at Wayland High School that left one student briefly hospitalized with burns after an acetylene torch ignited on Tuesday. Fire Chief Neil McPherson says the student has been treated and released, the building has been deemed safe, and the torch has been removed from use.
   

• Acton teen accused of killing mother and brother to appear in Middlesex Superior Court (bostonglobe.com) — A high-profile Middlesex County case with a brief Wayland connection is moving to Superior Court, as an Acton teen accused in the deaths of his mother and brother appears in Woburn. Prosecutors say he was arrested while sitting in his mother's car in Wayland, and investigators are examining his online activity and possible family conflict as the case proceeds.
