Beloved Central MA Breakfast Cafe Closing For Good

A local breakfast spot that has served as a gathering place for seven years is preparing to say goodbye.

ORANGE, MA — A local breakfast spot that has served as a gathering place for seven years is preparing to say goodbye.

Corner Cafe will permanently close after serving its final breakfast on Nov. 28, the business announced Tuesday. The cafe said the decision comes as its building is being prepared for sale and its owners decided purchasing the property was not the right direction for them.

“Serving this community these past 7 years has been an absolute joy,” the Corner Cafe team said. “Every one of you have turned our little cafe into a true neighborhood home.”

The cafe at 1 S. Main St. in Orange invited customers to visit during its remaining weeks for their favorite meals, treats and coffee.

As part of the farewell, the cafe’s large wooden logo sign has been moved from the wall near the register to the front window. Customers can use markers provided by the business to leave farewell messages.

Owners Terry and Bob plan to take the signed logo home after the final day as a keepsake, according to the announcement.

The cafe thanked its customers, community members and town officials for their support. The closing announcement was signed by Terry, Bob, Stephanie, Tracey, Carol, Lisa, Elisha, Charlene and Brandi.

"We are incredibly grateful for your loyalty, your smiles, and the memories we’ve shared over the years," the business wrote in its announcement. "While we are sad to say goodbye to this space, we are endlessly blessed for the incredible community of people and town officials that have supported us every step of the way. You’ve made this adventure unforgettable!"
