The four-story facility features 56 flexible ICU-capable rooms, a larger ER, and a light-filled design with natural views and a nearby chapel, aiming to improve both care and patient experience for area residents.

White students made up 94.7% of Hartland Lakes Elementary enrollment in 2024-25 (livingstontoday.com) — Hartland Lakes Elementary, in a district headquartered in Brighton, enrolled 457 students in 2024–25, with white students making up 94.7% of the population. The report tracks a decade of enrollment trends and notes that, like much of Michigan, overall and white student numbers have gradually declined since before the pandemic.

Industrial Paint Booth Fire In City Of Howell (whmi.com) — Brighton-area firefighters helped Howell crews quickly contain an industrial paint booth fire Monday evening, with sprinklers and coordinated evacuation preventing injuries. Brighton Fire personnel assisted with fire control while Howell Area Fire Department crews confirmed everyone was safely out and the blaze stayed confined, allowing the business to begin recovery without reported harm to workers.
   

5. Richard Todd, 78 – WLKM Radio 95.9 FM (wlkm.com) — A Sturgis community member known as Richard "Turkey" Todd died September 9 at Trinity Health Livingston Hospital in Brighton at age 78.
