The Australian instrumental quartet's latest release, Frogs In A Pond, leans into cinematic, funk-influenced sounds and was recorded largely live over nine days in Melbourne. 
• PRAYERS Premieres "No Tengo Calma" Video (killthemusic.net) — PRAYERS, the project of Leafar Seyer, has released a new video for "No Tengo Calma" and is bringing the song to Ferndale this fall. The tour schedule includes a stop at The Magic Bag on October 22, giving local fans a chance to experience the deeply personal new material live.
• 'Get the Flock out': Independence Twp. votes to get rid of license plate readers (bnd.com) — Independence Township has voted unanimously to end its contract for Flock license plate reader cameras, citing concerns over data governance and privacy. Ferndale is mentioned among several Metro Detroit communities that have already canceled similar contracts, underscoring a broader regional pushback against the surveillance technology that may interest local residents.
