• Community House closes for modernization project (candgnews.com) — Rochester's Community House in Municipal Park has closed for about 10 months as a $3.9 million modernization and expansion project gets underway, backed by state grants and city funding. During construction, residents will temporarily lose a popular venue for classes, events, and nonprofit activities, but officials say the upgraded, more accessible facility will better serve Rochester and nearby communities for decades. 
• Initial Associated Press prep football rankings for the 2026 season (theoaklandpress.com) — Rochester Adams' football team picked up votes in the first Associated Press prep rankings of the 2026 season, signaling early statewide respect even though it didn't crack the Division 1 top 10. The statewide list shows how Oakland County and other Michigan programs stack up heading into Week 4, giving Rochester fans a sense of who their Highlanders are chasing.
