• Downriver residents call for Wyandotte to switch drinking water source due to pollution near Detroit River intake (thenewsherald.com) — Trenton hosted an August 25 Downriver environmental town hall where residents and advocates pressed for Wyandotte to switch its drinking water source away from a Detroit River intake near a BASF pollution site. State regulators say Wyandotte's water currently meets standards, but environmental groups argue a Great Lakes Water Authority connection would better protect public health as long-term cleanup and infrastructure fixes continue.
