• Woman Charged After Alleged Early-Morning Apple Valley Burglary (limitless-news.com) — A recent early-morning garage break-in in Apple Valley has led to felony burglary and misdemeanor receiving stolen property charges against a 21-year-old Inver Grove Heights woman, with her next court hearing set for September 30. Apple Valley police say a resident confronted the suspect after seeing her in his garage, and investigators later linked her to property allegedly taken from a nearby vehicle.
   

• Update: Rooftop fire reported at Apple Valley Community Center (hometownsource.com) — A rooftop fire at the Apple Valley Community Center Friday afternoon brought a quick response from local firefighters, with no injuries and the affected renovation area unoccupied. The center has been closed since June for a project that will eventually connect it to the Apple Valley Senior Center, and officials are still investigating what caused the blaze and how much damage was done.
   

• Football Recap: Waconia Rolls Past Apple Valley (maxpreps.com) — Apple Valley Eagles football fans saw their team fall 28–7 to Waconia on Friday, dropping Apple Valley to 1–1 and extending a three-game road skid. The Eagles now turn to in-conference play, preparing to face familiar rival Two Rivers this coming Friday evening in a key early-season test.
