• SLP-based nonprofit raises $200 million for pets, vets and kids (hometownsource.com) — A Minnetonka animal rescue, The Bond Between, is among the local organizations benefiting from $200 million in donations raised by the St. Louis Park–based Car Donation Foundation. The nonprofit turns donated vehicles into funding for pets, veterans, and children's charities, with free towing and tax-help resources for donors. Residents can support groups close to home by donating unwanted cars, motorcycles, or boats. 
• Peterson Slides into a Familiar Spot, Leads MGA Mid-Amateur Championship (mngolf.org) — A former Minnetonka High School golfer, Jacques Wilson, is just one shot behind the leader heading into the final round of the MGA Mid-Amateur Championship at Minneapolis Golf Club. He's weighing whether to play more aggressively depending on others' scores. The tournament could add another prestigious state title to a season where he's already posted three top-10 finishes.
