• It Started With Hello: Asbury Park Youth Build a Bridge of Friendship to Tanzania (tapinto.net) — Asbury Park teens from the PAL Sister Circle turned a simple greeting into a global service project, assembling 500 jellybean prayer packages for children in Kahama, Tanzania. With help from a Cookman Avenue candy shop and local police mentors, the girls connected with Tanzanian youth over Zoom, gaining leadership experience and a powerful reminder that Asbury Park friendships can reach far beyond the shoreline.
   

• 'Goosenapped' geese located in Warren County, returned to Deal Lake (app.com) — Two beloved Deal Lake geese have been safely returned after Asbury Park police and the Monmouth County SPCA tracked them to a Warren County home, following a tip from an Asbury Park resident who witnessed their removal. Officials are reminding local residents not to move wildlife themselves and to call animal control through police if animals appear sick, injured, or in danger.
   

• Free Food and Nutrition Counseling Now Available at Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch (centraljersey.com) — Monmouth County residents, including those from Asbury Park, can now access free groceries and nutrition counseling at the new Food Farmacy inside Monmouth Medical Center in nearby Long Branch. Designed for patients who struggle to afford fresh, healthy food, the program links dietitian support with medical care, expanding RWJBarnabas Health's food-access initiative into Monmouth County for the first time.
