• Oceanic Bridge Project Update Set for Sept. 29 in Middletown (tworivertimes.com) — Middletown residents are invited to a Sept. 29 public meeting at Town Hall on plans to replace the aging Oceanic Bridge that links Middletown and Rumson. Officials will outline design options, including debated bridge height and environmental studies, and take public comments on a project expected to move into final design by 2027 and construction by 2029.
   

• Kenilworth Police Department Motor Vehicle Pursuit Concludes Arrest of Middletown Resident (tapinto.net) — A Middletown resident was arrested at his home after Kenilworth police say a BMW registered to him was involved in a pursuit and collision with a patrol car following an earlier Essex County incident. He faces multiple charges including aggravated assault on an officer and eluding, with state and county agencies continuing the investigation and possible additional charges.
