MONTCLAIR, NJ — A promotion ceremony for Montclair firefighters included a trailblazing moment for the township earlier this week.
The Montclair Fire Department celebrated the promotions of several hardworking emergency responders at the town council meeting on Tuesday.
Supervisory fire inspector Natasha Richardson became the first woman to serve in the role, marking a significant moment for Montclair, town officials said.

Other high-achieving MFD members honored during the event included:
- Kevin Stoute, promoted to deputy chief
- Thomas Hargraves, promoted to captain
- Peter Albanese, promoted to captain
