Local veterinarians with lab animal experience, or those willing to obtain New Jersey licenses and DEA credentials, can expect competitive pay, full benefits, and a key role in maintaining high research and animal welfare standards.
   

• Illegal Gun, Drugs Found In East Brunswick Motel Parking Lot (patch.com) — Police say a New Brunswick man was among three people found with a loaded handgun, large-capacity magazine, and about half a pound of suspected marijuana in the Studio 6 motel parking lot in East Brunswick. The incident highlights ongoing safety concerns at two Route 18 motels, which have generated thousands of emergency calls this year, prompting continued police attention.
   

• Man seriously injured after truck slams into tree in Hillsborough (mycentraljersey.com) — A serious truck crash in Hillsborough left a Trenton man badly injured and airlifted to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick for treatment. Emergency crews from multiple Hillsborough fire stations and RWJ paramedics responded, and the township police Traffic Safety Bureau is still investigating what caused the vehicle to leave Montgomery Road and strike a tree.
