Princeton Porchfest Pivots Indoors Due To Nor'easter (patch.com) — Princeton's popular Porchfest music celebration is moving indoors today as a nor'easter threatens outdoor performances, but organizers have lined up a condensed schedule at local venues. Residents can still enjoy live music at spots including the Graduate Hotel, Princeton Public Library, Princeton University Art Museum, Small World Coffee, Tipple & Rose, Triumph, and Witherspoon Grill, keeping the community-focused festival alive despite the weather.
   

2. Theft Criminal Mischief, Burglary: Princeton Police Blotter (patch.com) — Recent reports from Princeton Police highlight several local incidents, including an alleged video game theft from Princeton Public Library, missing retirement checks and a Social Security card from mail, and high-value jewelry reported stolen during a move. Officers also investigated stolen driveway signs and extensive damage to a vehicle on Franklin Avenue, with several cases still under active investigation.
   

3. Porsche Worth $250K Stolen In Princeton, Police Say (patch.com) — Princeton residents are being alerted after a 2024 Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT, worth about $250,000, was stolen from a Prospect Avenue driveway sometime between Sept. 13 and 18. Police say the key fob was taken from inside the home, with no signs of forced entry and no suspects identified, and are continuing to investigate.
   

4. Skip The Parking Hunt, Hop On Princeton's Free Loop Bus This Fall (patch.com) — Princeton is promoting its free Loop bus this fall, giving residents, students, and visitors an easy way to reach downtown, the Princeton Shopping Center, and Princeton Station without worrying about parking. Two routes—Loop Express and Loop Local—connect neighborhoods, senior housing, shops, and cultural spots, offering a convenient, sustainable, no-cost way to explore town and support local businesses.
   

5. Diwali Now A Day Off On Princeton Schools' 2027-28 Calendar (patch.com) — Princeton Public Schools will now close for Diwali starting in the 2027-28 school year, after community feedback prompted the district to add the holiday to its calendar. To accommodate the change, students will attend school the Friday before Presidents Day weekend, and the board may still tweak whether the Friday before Labor Day 2027 is a full or early-dismissal day.
