• Motorcyclist thrown 35 feet in crash in front of N.J. mall (nj.com subscription) — A Scotch Plains woman driving an SUV was involved in a serious crash Monday near Menlo Park Mall in Edison when her vehicle collided with a southbound motorcycle. The motorcyclist, a Metuchen man, was thrown about 35 feet and remains in critical but stable condition, while the SUV driver was uninjured as police continue investigating without filing charges yet.
