SECAUCUS, NJ — Released by Secaucus Police, all of last week's arrests:
On June 1 at 2:41 a.m., during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 22-year-old man of Newark for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Newark in the amount of $2,000 with a 10% option. Newark PD released him pending a future court date; he was issued one motor vehicle summons and released from police custody.
On June 1 at 12:33 p.m., Secaucus Police responded to the parking lot of the Red Roof Inn on a report of an individual trying to gain entry into parked motor vehicles. Police arrested a 24-year-old man, Brayan Perez of Paterson, NJ, for Burglary [2C:18-2A(1)] and Theft [2C:20-3A]. Perez was issued his complaint summons and was released from police custody. After they released him, Secaucus Police say they observed Perez open the door of a car parked in the parking lot of police headquarters, in an attempt to get inside. It was not a police car; it was a civilian vehicle. Perez was additionally charged with Trespassing [2C:18-3A]. He was issued another summons to appear in town court and was released from police custody.

On June 2 at 7:05 p.m. officers from the NJ State Police responded to Secaucus Police headquarters to take into custody a 33-year-old man of Orange for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Secaucus, NJ in the amount of $5,000 with a 10% option. He was able to post bail and was released.
On June 2 at 12:16 p.m., during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 27-year-old man of Union City for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Passaic, NJ in the amount of $750. Passaic PD released him on his own recognizance pending a future court date, he was issued 1 motor vehicle summons and was released from police custody.

On June 2 at 6:56 p.m., during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 34-year-old man of Little Ferry, NJ for two outstanding warrants issued out of South Hackensack, NJ in the amount of $2,000 along with 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Fairfield, NJ in the amount of $550 and 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Wayne, NJ in the amount of $500 with a 10% option. He was unable to post bail for the involved warrants, was issued 2 motor vehicle summonses and was transported to the South Hackensack Police Department.
On June 2 at 8:35 p.m., Secaucus Police responded to Walmart on a report of an assault. Police say a man had been involved in a shoplifting incident and assaulted a loss-prevention officer while fleeing the store. The individual was located by the police near Sam’s Club. Lloyd Haas, 27, of Queensbury, NY was arrested and charged with Robbery [2C:15-1A(1)]. Haas was issued a complaint warrant and taken to the Hudson County Jail.
On June 4 at 3:43 p.m., in furtherance of an investigation conducted by the Secaucus Police Department in relation to a shoplifting incident that occurred at Walmart on May 29, the police arrested a 31-year-old male, Tyler Thornton of Jersey City, NJ for Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(1)]. He was issued a complaint warrant and taken to the Hudson County Jail.
On June 5 at 9:21 a.m. Secaucus Police responded to Adore Me Services located at 100 Electric Avenue on a report of a dispute. During the investigation, the police arrested a 46-year-old man of Brooklyn, NY for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Mount Laurel, NJ in the amount of $600, along with 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Moorestown, NJ in the amount of $500.00, 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Mountainside, NJ in the amount of $400.00, 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Midland Park, NJ in the amount of $360.00 and 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Berlin, NJ in the amount of $350.00. Martin was released on his own recognizance pending future court dates for all five outstanding warrants.
On June 5 at 11:14 a.m., during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 46-year-old man of North Bergen, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Guttenberg, NJ in the amount of $550. He was able to post bail and was released.
On June 5 at 6:25 p.m., during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 24-year-old man of New York, NY for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Passaic, NJ in the amount of $1,000.00 with a 10% option. Passaic Police released him on his own recognizance.
On June 5 at 11:21 p.m., Secaucus Police responded to CVS on a report of a shoplifting. Police arrested a 33-year-old man Val Brennan of State Island, NY for Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(1)], Possession of Prescription Legend Drug believed to be Trazodone [2C:35-10.5E(2)] and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-2A]. He was issued a summons to appear in court and was released.
On June 7 at 11:33 a.m., during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 32-year-old man of Elmwood Park, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Harrison, NJ in the amount of $600. He was able to post bail for the warrant, was issued 2 motor vehicle summonses and was released from police custody.
On June 7 at 6:56 p.m., Secaucus Police responded to CVS on a report of an individual trespassing on the property. Police arrested a 46-year-old man, Jason Rodriguez of Paterson, NJ for Defiant Trespassing [2C:18-3B], Possession of CDS believed to be Crack Cocaine [2C:35-10A(1)] and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-2A]. Rodriguez was also found to have two outstanding warrants issued out of Little Falls, NJ in the amount of $2,500. Rodriguez was issued his complaint warrant and transported to the Hudson County Jail.
On June 7 at 4:32 p.m., Secaucus Police were advised of a theft incident that occurred at the UPS Store in Plaza Centre. On that same date at 7:51 p.m., the police arrested a 37-year-old woman, Lanissa Franklin of Jersey City, NJ for theft [2C:20 3A]. She was arrested at Secaucus Police headquarters and was further charged with theft [2C:20-3A] for a separate theft incident that police say occurred at the UPS Store on 05/21/2026. She was issued summonses to appear in court for both alleged thefts and taken to the Hudson County Jail.
These charges are merely accusations and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
