Toms River Cocaine Dealer Gets 18 Years After Release, Parkway Police Chase (shorenewsnetwork.com) — A Toms River man has been sentenced to 18 years in state prison after two cocaine cases that unfolded on local roads, including Route 37 and the Garden State Parkway. Prosecutors say he was first caught with about 110 grams of crack cocaine, then months later fled police through South Toms River while tossing cocaine from his car before being arrested again.

Daily News Briefs: Friday, September 11, 2026 (tollroadsnews.com) — If you drive the Garden State Parkway near Toms River, you'll soon have a chance to weigh in on major interchange upgrades between exits 80 and 83 at a September 16 public hearing in town. The project aims to cut crash rates and congestion with new ramps and collector-distributor roads, but will also clear 36 acres of forest, triggering a detailed reforestation plan under state law.
   

4. Road Lessons: CBA Soccer Rallies, Spoils Toms River North Upset Bid (shoresportsinsider.com) — A hard-fought boys soccer match in Toms River saw Christian Brothers Academy rally from a 2-0 deficit to edge Toms River North, 4-3, on Saturday. The game, played on North's home field, featured a furious CBA second-half comeback that nearly snapped the Colts' long unbeaten run against Ocean County teams but ultimately left the Mariners just short.
