• Walcott to receive Carnegie Medal for saving family ‣ Ocean City Sentinel (ocnjsentinel.com) — Upper Township residents can celebrate that neighbor and local attorney Brandon Walcott is receiving the prestigious Carnegie Medal for Heroism after rescuing a family from a rip current off Ocean City in 2024. Already named Upper Township Citizen of the Year, Walcott plans to donate the award money to the school district and continues to downplay his heroism, emphasizing simply helping others in trouble.
