• NewsdayTV meteorologist Geoff Bansen: Another 24 hours of this (newsday.com) — Commack has already seen more than an inch of rain from the ongoing nor'easter, with strong winds and downed trees causing closures elsewhere in Suffolk County. Forecasters say residents should expect another 24 hours of rain and gusty conditions before things improve Sunday, with the heaviest rainfall and potentially stronger winds likely Saturday night.
