With free admission but limited parking, residents are urged to arrive early, bring sturdy bags, and enjoy a one-day showcase of local art, crafts, and small-town riverfront charm.
   

2. Green Meadow student's sneaker drive collects 195 pairs for children in need (midhudsonnews.com) — A Green Meadow Waldorf School student has rallied Nyack-area families, businesses, and civic groups to donate 195 pairs of athletic shoes for children who need proper footwear for sports. Her ReRun Sneaker Drive, promoted at the Nyack Farmers Market and local organizations, now partners with a shoe nonprofit and includes a GoFundMe to cover shipping the sneakers for global distribution.
   

3. Two Nyack Men Face Federal Murder Charges in 2023 Pomona Shooting (rocklandnews.com) — Two Nyack residents have been indicted in federal court on murder, robbery, firearms, and narcotics conspiracy charges tied to a 2023 fatal shooting in nearby Pomona. Investigators from multiple Rockland County agencies and the FBI spent more than three years building the case, and prosecutors say the victim was shot during a drug-related robbery before being pronounced dead at Nyack Hospital. All defendants remain presumed innocent.
   

4. Paula Jean Kursh (sebastopoltimes.com) — This remembrance honors artist Paula Jean Kursh, who spent her childhood in Nyack on the Hudson before a creative life that took her to New York City, Mexico, and finally Sebastopol, California. Friends recall her eclectic home, wide-ranging art, love of music, and deep connections to family and community that began in her Nyack upbringing.
