• Ossining's Donald Farrell Elected President of State Firefighters Association (riverjournalonline.com) — Longtime Ossining firefighter and resident Donald Farrell has been elected president of the Firefighters Association of the State of New York, bringing local experience to a major statewide role. Farrell's 47 years with the Ossining Volunteer Fire Department and decades in local law enforcement shape his priorities to recruit more youth and women into New York's volunteer fire service. 
• ICE detains man at wake for Ossining teen killed in crash (news12.com) — Ossining Mayor Rika Levin is criticizing how federal immigration agents handled the detention of a man at the wake for 18-year-old Ossining graduate Kevin Zhagui-Moroch, killed in a recent crash. She says the unannounced ICE operation near grieving families and students was upsetting and vows to work with police and the school district to protect residents' rights and safety.
