No injuries were reported, but authorities are still determining what sparked the fire.
   

• Fire District Receives $500K Grant for New Fire Boat (lilifepolitics.com) — Patchogue residents will see stronger waterway emergency protection thanks to a $500,000 state grant funding a new fire boat for the Patchogue Fire District. The vessel will boost firefighters' ability to handle fires, rescues, and other incidents on the Great South Bay, after years of delays in delivering the promised money.
