3. Queens dad thanks doctors after receiving first pancreas transplant on Long Island (abc7ny.com) — A Queens father is recovering well after becoming the first person to receive a pancreas transplant on Long Island, offering hope to others with severe diabetes and organ failure. Surgeons at North Shore University Hospital performed a 10-hour kidney-pancreas procedure, freeing him from dialysis and stabilizing his blood sugar, and he recently returned to thank the medical team for his second chance.
   

4. Festival of Cinema: Oh, What A Night!
