Thousands gather at Point Lookout to mark 25th anniversary of 9/11 (longislandpress.com) — Rockville Centre's Fire Department and St. Agnes Cathedral's rector played visible roles in a large 25th‑anniversary 9/11 sunrise memorial at Point Lookout, joining more than 1,000 people honoring victims and first responders. Local firefighters presented the colors and Rev. Michael Duffy offered the invocation as families, officials, and younger volunteers cast carnations into the Atlantic and pledged to keep the stories alive.
